Drum Roll.....

It was all an accident really.
Totally did not mean to, but that makes it even better in my mind :)
I'm talking about how our living room is coming together.
We didn't set out to create this travel/explorer theme but it happened. And I love it!
Here and there we just kept picking up ideas and things that we were attracted to, and here's the result.

Remember that pallet that we were using as a coffee table? Well it's gotten a huge facelift. The result of my finding the idea on Pinterest (where else?) and Jonathan working very hard to bring it to life for us. He patiently cut out the continents out of a map we made, it took forever! Then using the giant stencil, used a dark wood stain to make this:

And then the addition that I'm most excited about in our living room. With our photography business slowly growing, we needed this. I wanted to create a designated work space with eclectic charm. And also wanted it to be in a central location. That way we could hang out together while either of us is working on photos or whatever :) I give you the office space!

We call this little guy Theodore ChromePig, the dignified keeper of our 'World Traveling Fund'

And last night we picked up the crowning jewel of the office.
I can already tell we're going to get along well. It's reliable, pretty and compatible with Lightroom. And any friend of Lightroom is a friend of mine ;)

And no place is complete without a four legged companion, right?

We still need to do some tweaking on all this. We just picked out some paint colors that I'm really excited about! Maybe you'll seem them on here soon.
I really feel so blessed by all these things that we're able to have in our home. We don't deserve it but Jesus has given us way more than what we need or want. And even if we lost it all tomorrow,
He's still so good.

  2. Oh, Brea!! This is marvelous!! I'm truly, deeply, madly...in love with your living room!! Love the usage of maps! So sweet! Now all you need is a framed map on the wall with push-pins marking all the places you've been and want to go! :)
