This little person has a very special place in mine and Jonathan's hearts. Through her life we've been able to witness firsthand the sovereignty and love of God.

We just love her and her story. And of course, how photogenic she is :)

I wish I could tell you that I am spiritually strong. I wish I could say that you can always see the evidence of Jesus in my life. But I can't. 

Telling a lie never really made it all better, and sometimes the ugly truth can actually be beautiful.

So here's my truth.

I am the one 'prone to wander' and fail. I disobey. I do not live surrendered to God. I listen to, believe and, at times, even invite in all the lies. How I need His truth. There is no good in me, no strength to hold back the darkness of my own sin. I am lost. 

I need Jesus. I need Him, always. I need saving, every. single. day. Even though most of the time I don't like admitting to that. I'd rather appear holy without any help, thank you very much.

And that is how I know I'll never make it without Jesus.

Send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your dwelling. 
Psalm 43:3

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:6

In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1: 4-5

Jesus, help me. Without You, I'm just collecting a pile of filthy rags to represent my life. Help me to be obedient and slay my flesh. I admit I don't want to be obedient. That's why I need Your grace. Thank You for Your light and truth. Thank You for shining out of my darkness.

Hello Old Friend

All brisk and and full of undecided clouds, Autumn arrived today and I'm going to make a cup of coffee to welcome it back. Maybe me and Fall will get a chance to catch up before it has to leave again. 

This season is for bundling up, and snuggling up and sipping warm drinks slowly down. And oh, I want to slow down too and drink in grace and be wrapped in Jesus warmth. 

Help me to do just that Father. Just that.

My dad has very graciously let Jonathan and I borrow one of his cameras for a bit. It's quite the upgrade from what we typically use and let's just say.....we're pretty tickled about it ;)

We're Back.....

 After miles and miles and more miles of traveling, we are finally back in our cozy little nest. And I can say honestly that it's good to be home. 

Now all I have to do is clean up vacation that seems to somehow have exploded all over the house ;)

Wedding Day!

Today was the wedding of Chris and Hadaessah and we all had so much fun. Especially little shutter happy me :)

 The kiss! Which was their very first ever by the way, isn't that so amazing?! Oh it was so sweet, and romantic, and just perfect.  

And I also got the privilege of hanging out with this girl quite a bit. 

Isn't she glamourous ?

We snapped pictures, talked about marriage life, and laughed at our awkward memories together. I'm so glad she and her man surprised us all!

 And here they are, Husband and Wife, and so so happy. 

Oh, what a wonderful day it was! We're both so happy for this couple, they're goofy, cute, and so very much in love. Congrats guys, what a testimony you have :)

ps. Oh and being around all this marriage and lovey stuff makes me SO happy for my own marriage to the most perfect man in the world for me.
