Before we bought Sadie, I did a lot of research. Even though I had wanted a Great Dane for a very long time, I wanted to make sure this breed was a good fit for us and our lifestyle.
I found that people had a lot to say about Danes:
>>They said they're gentle, lazy and sweet.
>>They said they're big. Not a large breed, a giant breed.
>>They said they'll make you laugh with all their goofy antics
>>They said don't get one if you don't want a dog that wants to be with you all.the.time.
And you know what?
It's all true.

Ah, this almost makes me want to get a Great Dane! But somehow I don't think this would be allowed, if I'm not allowed to have a cat. ;)

DeleteWell, so far my experience with Great Danes has been fantastic! I would happily get another one if we had the space for it. I mean, for as big as she is, she's suprisingly low maintenance. But I would guess not low maintenance for your situation ;)
