Some favorite things we've enjoyed in life here lately.
>>Sitting together on the porch (him with a Flight magazine and me with a favorite book) and reading while the sun set.

>>Messy buns and naps. And it's amazing how well these actually go together, isn't it? You can nap in a messy bun and not worry about messing up your hair. So good.

>>Going to this place, barely catching a sunset and watching planes fly about with my love.

>>This verse, which has been a comfort in the harder times:
"Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and
will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength
and my song, and has become my salvation."
Isaiah 12:2
>>Finding new ways to dress up old, treasured t-shirts. Aren't scarves the best?!

>>The new app I discovered for my phone called "Shape'd".
It allows you to add text to your photos (among other things) and basically just dress up simple phone pictures. This app is so much fun and did I mention that it's free?! It's quickly become one of my favorite apps ever. I just love that I can do all this cool stuff from my phone. Do yourself a favor and go download it. Now.
Here's some of the pictures I've created lately:

>>Life with this girl, it's always good. And yes, one of her favorite places is under the coffee table. Although we're not sure how she fits under there....

>>And finally, the fact that (after almost two years of marriage) me and Jonathan still text like this when he's at work. We really like each other ok? ;)
We're so richly blessed. I know that, and try not to take it for granted. I hope when you read these types of posts that you don't think our lives our perfect. Far from it. We're just normal people experiencing the usual bumps and bruises as we live out our life.
I just try to see the beauty in all and be thankful. And I pray you do the same wherever God has you today.

What a delicious eclectic post! And you know I love a good messy bun...although I usually wear them on the very top of my head like Pebbles from Flintstones. ;)
ReplyDeleteThose texts are so sweet and SO you. :)
I'm looking forward to the time when my hair is long and flowy again and I can try out those oh-so-chic messy buns. I love them and I'm sure you totally rock one!
DeleteAnd thanks, we're just two silly kids who married eachother. I'm glad were still in love and all that ;)
