"Oh great God give us rest
We're all worn thin from all of this...."
We're all worn thin from all of this...."
-David Crowder Band

This day finds us all emotionally/physically/spiritually worn out. I don't feel ready to face it, but then how can you prepare for this? Through the week, we've recovered somewhat from the shock of Sunday night's events. We're smiling and getting rest again. We (almost?) feel normal. But today, we put Lana's body to rest and open up our hearts to the pain of it all again. We know that going through this is just another part of the journey we're walking on now. We know God has more than enough grace to cover us all. But it's still more than difficult, especially when we already feel so fragile.
Specific prayer requests today are:
>>Timothy. Not only is this the day he see's his wife's face for the last time, but he has to be away from Amos most of the day as well. He needs endurance and the ability to find closure. Pray for the comfort that only Jesus can offer through this.
>>Amos. We have an Aunt who is more than willing to spend this time with him while we're all at the service, but he won't be able to be with the people he's most comfortable with. Pray that he remains calm and cooperates with anyone that will be working with him throughout the day.
>>Tina and John. As I said before, they've been incredibly strong through all of this but what they have to go through today would be heartbreaking for anyone. Pray for them as they grieve and process their own pain.
>>The rest of the family (on our side and Lana's) . Everyone who knew Lana, misses her tremendously. She was our sister, aunt, cousin, and best friend. To be honest, it doesn't even feel like she's gone. Pray for the comfort needed, especially for all the children that know and miss Lana so much.
Once again, we everyone who has helped us to make sure you know how much we appreciate what you've done. From coming and cleaning my mother-in-laws house, to bringing Amos (more) Spiderman toys, we have noticed all of it. Keep up the prayers, keep up the support, especially on this long, hard day. And though it seems so trivial to say, thank you so much for all you've done.
"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."

For we, we are not long here
Our time is but a breath, so we better breathe it
And I, I was made to live, I was made to love, I was made to know you
Hope is coming for me
Hope, He's coming
And I, I was made to live, I was made to love, I was made to know you
Hope is coming for me
Hope, He's coming
