The day was a running errands kind of day. We had our day planned out and with the list in hand we headed out the door.
We drove under a canopy of sailing clouds that floated by like great ships. I wanted to fly straight through them to watch them crash on the sun waves from above.
As we keep moving along, I see his wedding band there on his hand. It makes me happy, makes me feel safe.
We're just going to town to run errands....or are we? Maybe here, even in these everyday things, we're living out our love story. We are living out God's story.
In the living and breathing, we grow together. We make memories, make each other mad and learn how to live in grace. Jesus makes mercies new every morning to us, these needy ones. And we, haltingly and with much struggle, learn what it means to be one in the Father.
But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate. Mark 10:5-9
For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 2 Corinthians 4:5-7
Thank you, Jesus, for the gift of marriage and how You use it to display Your perfect love.
