There And Back Again

We've been so busy (and had multiple technical issues) that posting on here has been light.
Here's a little post to tell you what we've been up to....

Well to start off, we just returned from an early Christmas visit with my family in good ol' Tennessee.

We both love going back to see all these places and faces we love.
Lately, with things that have been occuring in our life, I've been made aware of how fragile life is for everyone. And because of that I'm beyond thankful that God allowed us another visit to make memories with my side of the family.

I love when my parent's house is full of loud siblings and crazy dogs. And I love how we're all knit together.
All these personalities, all these faults and views on life. Me and Jonathan aren't perfect, and neither are our families, but God takes the knots and holes and makes beautiful things.

This year part of my Christmas came early. We ate too much food, all piled in the theatre together to see 'The Hobbit', and laughed at all the antics of the pups.
We also hugged, talked about life issues and tucked away the memories to remember and smile about when the missing one another starts.
And....for me, that is a most precious gift.

To my family:
Thanks for feeding us, giving us a comfy bed and not being annoyed when Sadie kept trying to be a lap dog. We love and miss you already. We can come back soon, hmm?

And thank You Jesus for coming so humbly and teaching us how to love the unlovable. Thank you for coming down to dwell in this mess. And by Your grace, how to be made truly beautiful.

She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet:
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall call his name Immanuel”
 (which means, God with us).
(Matthew 1:21-23 ESV)
