Just Because....

We have fun with these two whenever we get the chance to be together. And when that happens to be for a husband/wife/anniversary shoot...well that just makes it that much better! Here are some candid, in the moment pictures from Melissa and Jason's photo shoot we did for them this past Spring. 

I just love the facial expressions here. Too cute. 

 We love working with this reflector. It seriously makes our photography life so easy and enjoyable. Jonathan is a pro at working it ;) 

Oh, the things you do to get a genuine smile out of your husband.... 

Having your subject hold the reflector while you shoot really enhances a portrait shot. Maybe everyone already knew that but I just learned this bit of info recently and love putting it into practice. 

See? Gorgeous results. And plus Mel has great expressions....

Ok, I feel like maybe I need to clear up a little misconception we've been experiencing lately. Some people (totally by accident, I'm sure) don't seem to realize that Jonathan is just as much a part of our photography business as I am. He shoots right along side me and get some of the best pictures you see us publish. 

 In fact, most of what I know in photography has come from him teaching me. I just hope people know that he deserves credit for the all hard work he puts into his photography. I'm a proud wife and don't mind bragging about his work ;)  

We work together, get choked up at the weddings together and honestly love working side by side. We're a team and wouldn't have it any other way. Our dream is to one day have this as our sole income. Yes, we love being with each other that much. :) We hope to have the privilege to tell others' stories, preserve their memories and capture the joy of their lives for a long time to come.
