Of Recent

Life has been busy these days. It seems like we managed to squeeze in so many things in the space of three days.

We've been listening to one of our favorite bands.
Bought and worked on Mother's Day gifts for our Moms.
I get to give my mom her's (in person) in just a few days, yay!
And also got hair cuts and had a quick getaway to the lake where we fished and, of course, took pictures :)

We found ourselves over at Jonathan's parents quite a lot this week too. They fed us good food and while we helped wrangle children and set up a new play area for the little ones.

I got lot's (and lots and lots) of images of this little piece of gorgeousness. I could take pictures of her loveliness all day.

I think we can all agree that this change of weather is welcome (though it can be a bit moody at times). I'm still thankful for it. This season is for sitting on porch swings. For puppies. And for catching frogs and blowing bubbles.

Really though? It's for enjoying and rejoicing in. For living out our Father's love.
The now is a precious, fragile gift.

Children grow like weeds and the glorious Spring fades into Summer.
So let's not waste. Let's not hurry. Not wish it was different.
God has you and me here. Right here. In the now.
It's all for His glory and it's all beautiful.

Jesus, help me to abide in the now.
 In You.

  1. GORGEOUS photos!! Love them!! You're hair is super cute and you're smokin' hot, as usual! I love how close you are with your in-laws! In a society where in-laws are "so not cool" and always depicted as being the "bad guys," (which is NOT always the case!!!), I love seeing how much you and Jonathan just love being with both sides of your families! Good job. :)

    1. Thank you Kellie :) We know we are so uniquely blessed to have good relationships with BOTH sides of our families. It's something we really try not to take for granted. It's not always perfect but there is mutual love and respect between all of us and that helps make it all work. Praise God!
